# Choose the kind of visit.

Name the health concern you want addressed. Compare the health checks offered at a clinic and through licensed online care.

## Compare the visit, not the ad

### For an in-person visit, ask about the health check.

Find out who will see you and what the visit covers. Explain the problem as you see it. Ask how the person treating you would decide whether a medicine fits.

Ask for their name and job title. Will a doctor, a nurse or someone else examine you?

### For online care, ask what can happen by screen.

Telehealth is care at a distance, often by video. Ask how the visit works and what happens if you need an exam in a room.

As of September 28, 2026, Georgia applies the standard used for in-person care to online visits too.

Even a convenient visit needs to suit the health concern you brought to it.

### Ask how tests would be arranged.

As of September 28, 2026, Georgia requires people providing online medical care to order tests when needed to identify a health problem.

Ask which tests, if any, matter for your visit, where they would happen, and who would explain the results.

### Look past the first conversation.

Ask who handles later questions and how records are shared. Get contact details for the person providing your care so you can reach them once the visit is over. Get a clear answer before comparing the price.

Leave room for that person to suggest a different approach from the one in the offer.

## Use the same question for both

Who would check my health, what would that check include, and how would an in-person care need be handled?
